As you might have guessed my name is Jeanine Maria Sluik. Currently, I am; 23 years old, in my third year of studying International Fashion & Management in Amsterdam, and living close to it.
ABOUT ME
To me, fashion is more than its physical functions. It has so much more to give us than coverage, warmth and protection. The aesthetic, the fantastic, and the physiological are what pulled me towards fashion. A form of art in its ultimate being and even at its most mundane a form of self-expression. Fashion surrounds us at all times. Usually, it is one of the first decisions we make when we wake up. And each day you can pick who you want to be through your clothes. It does not only make us feel beautiful or comfortable but also powerful or self-conscious. Clothes are an intrinsic part of our image and identity and fashion is an incredibly powerful force, both for good and bad.

My aspirations in life surrounding fashion are to bring change to the industry in terms of sustainability; both ethically as well as environmentally. Doing so without losing the creativity, excess, and expression, fashion is known for. Innovation and development are key to me in this process. I want to become the voice of reason between design and business.
